Remi flashed his husband an innocent look as he jumped in surprise, boyish delight streaking across his face. The pace with which they moved to playful and adoring from discussions of Ronin's impending death was dizzying, and yet together Ronin and Remi had proved they were nothing if not adaptable to whatever life threw at them.

"Wicker women, interesting..." Remi repeated, grinning mischievously at Ronin and planning all sorts of pranks in his mind already.

"Can I stay?" The alchemist repeated softly, trying to hide the sadness in his voice. Remi wasn't the one going anywhere. "Well, I suppose." He said with a huff as if truly inconvenienced. "On one condition though—" So saying, the ground beneath them suddenly became moss-covered and quite soft. It was such a small thing, but the alchemist had missed falling asleep with Ronin's arms around him. Like his husband, the alchemist didn't want to sleep either, but he longed to be wrapped up in his partner's arms. "I have gone un-cuddled for far too long. " He declared, laying down and tugging the blanket (and thus Ronin) down with him.
