Remi knows there is a soul inside of the harpy as it screeches his way. He knows the name of the woman in which the soul resides. He knows too, that it is merely the blight causing this reckless madness. Most unsettling of all, is that he knows all of this, and does not care. If madness is their excuse, then grief is his.
As the harpy rushes towards him, the manticore turns to revel in her attack. Rearing up on his hindlegs and pawing wildly at the sky as the vulture swoops down, Remi roars loudly as the flying creature darts away. He won't leave the rose nor the place of Ronin's first death, but his eyes invite the interloper back for another pass. Is that all you have? He taunts, his mental voice rough and uncharacteristically dark sounding.
