Aside from his first stop, putting the two remaining roses back home where he knows they can’t be damaged, he slips out the door the next morning along a familiar path. He wears a fair amount of furs, leather along his pants now to prevent the penetration of the snow into the fabric of his clothes, and he makes his way toward her clinic.
