There was something abhorrent about her piety in that moment - perhaps it was her willingness to talk, to pry, to wonder and understand.
There was no understanding for the blighted, though. Only feasting and fighting and the black, cold nights in the wilderness. "You are nothing, Amalia. That is all. And you are here." And that made her into perfect target practice. And so, done with her words, Ronin pushed off the ground and launched himself at her again, intending to brace against the staff head on and shove her to the ground.
