The blow connected and a surge of vicious glee flooded Ronin's veins; he could almost taste it, the blood on the air, the feel of flesh tearing beneath his hands. A little longer of this game of kiss-chase and maybe he'd even get to live out the fantasy. They both tumbled through the snow, though Ronin was markedly better off after it, and the hunter sprung up and into a crouch to watch what Amalia might do next.

Examining the shield, Ronin tilted his head and considered it for a second (more consideration than he'd given to anything else at least) before charging forward again. His previous attempts had proven that he was able to topple Amalia, so this time, if he could trap her beneath the shield, he'd have her right where he wanted her.
