Deimos is full of surprises - though it is easy to tell that it’s far more about Amalia than himself, which would make her smile if it wasn’t a totally inappropriate thing to do at that time. “Ok, boys,” she says dryly, pulling back. “We have the code word and to soothe everyone's mind, we will ask personal questions if there’s someone outside. But we will not cut holes in doors unnecessarily. That lets out light, and light attracts them.” Which is also why fire wouldn’t work. She grumbles through the concession, hating giving more room to everyone who had a goddamn opinion and criticism. “And the assignments are easily fixed. Deimos and Amalia can go to the Guild” and literally leave me friendless and alone, thank you very much, you fuckers, “Loren can be in the Temple, along with Phoebe and Cera.” She pauses, thinks. “Yes, without any way to relay messages, each place will have to be on it’s own. Unless there are any telepathic people I don’t know about,” she jokes, though there is a strong element of truth to her joke.

“There is the small matter of Roana. Loren, you already know, and Deimos, I wouldn’t be surprised if Amalia told you - but Roana has threatened Sam and the entire Ascended race. That there are few of us doesn’t matter. I’m worried she might try something during LongNight. I’d like to safely head that off. Take her into custody and secure her for the week, and then investigate the why’s and such afterwards.”
It's a job for the militia, if there ever was one. "I can draw up an order for arrest, or something. If that makes it more official." She doesn't want to be Zariah. But Roana is a threat, and she can't ignore that.
