Oh, she can’t help but to audibly laugh at the comment about monsters. She knows what he means, she knows the double meaning, and for a moment she gives him an almost knowing look. But if he wants to dance and push people away, she will let him try. And it seems he’s getting the ideas all wrong as they leave her lips, brows quirking slightly despite the smile on her face, edged in silent question. “I am here, aren’t I?” Because she hasn’t made any house calls since, this has been her first stop. But whether he believes her or not, isn’t her problem.It’s entirely a Loren problem.
She is a bit surprised, actually, to hear about the encounter with Frey, and her brows raise further as she focuses on him with that same smile crossing her face. She wants to ask how it’s going, but the tone he gives her after, gives her the answer she already knows. “I mean, you could.” She tilts her head, somewhat predatory in the movement though it’s unintentional. There’s nothing stopping him but this break, this shift in his personality.
Oh, but then he calls her Rexy, and that’s a new nickname for her she’s not heard before. And she steps toward him with that same bright smile, contemplative along her sapphire eyes. “Oh, you see, that’s a secret for friends that aren’t dicks about not hearing from someone for two weeks.” There’s a light shrug to her shoulders when she says it. She means it, though. She finds his explosion to be a bit overdone, a bit too much when time had been so short. He could have reached out.
If he was done waiting around for people, Rexanna certainly had already done enough of that. And she wasn’t going to lay down for him.
He leans against the wall, after explaining that he’s dealing with it. And she thinks that he’s absolutely doing a piss poor job at it. But she doesn’t comment on it, wondering for a moment if the summoner is drunk, on top of it. But he goes on and on, and for a moment she wonders how he has breath for everything, for all this thoughts, when she catches on helping him with Phoebe. What did Phoebe have to do with it? “Alright, suit yourself.” She trills to him, before managing to say the things she’s done herself.
And if she’s thinking about it, she’s not really hoping to make him impressed. She doesn’t care what he thinks about it. But, she has done something in all that time.
“I can’t imagine why.” She offers instead of her initial thought, when it came to the people living in the manor avoiding him. It seemed like a ghost town, anyway. Maybe he just happened across the more… Quiet people to invite that likely wanted little to do with anyone let alone it being a personal attack on Loren.
But she draws closer to him as he examines her, and the same brilliant smile crosses her face as she nears him, aiming to get into his space. “Oh! My wonderful goddess fixed me right up. Left little to no trace, and gave me a gift in the meantime. But it's no orgasm quest.” Here, she gives him a fanged grin, head tilting as her hair falls over her shoulder slightly. “I’m not entirely human, after all.”
