He had heard the song of the Fangs when he had left the portal to find the Citadel on at least two occasions. Rumors overheard since seemed to indicate the potential for the mage glass Loren had spoken of in their depths. It was a faint hope, but it was also what the Loreseekers did - explore new places and learn what they could. Even if there was no mage glass they might learn more about this lethal new region, or find a way to make use of the depths that were protected from the howling winds and snows outside the mountain’s skin.
Jigano had called those of his guild who wished to assemble to the Spire before leading them through the (damned) portal and off to the other side. He had bundled up warmly, in all his winter clothes, leaving an offering of a bag of fresh apples to the guards before he forged out into the open snow. He had noted a direction the last time he and Loren had made this trek, and he made his way towards a singing cave that was rimmed with icicle stalactites and nearly hidden in the blowing snow. As they made their way through the cave’s entrance and into the snowy darkness beyond he pulled out a lantern, lifting it up to light the way as they found a tunnel in the back and edged into it. Though narrow at first it soon widened out to a more comfortable ten feet across, and the wind’s howl was cut to little more than a whistle, though the cold remained. The path snaked both downwards and to the right at first, and Jigano copied down its path as best he could with thick gloves on his hands.
After a while the way ahead of them seemed to open up, the tunnel splitting to the left and right. The path to the right was a little narrower and continued to angle downwards, while the path to the left stayed flat as far as the lantern’s light reached, broken only by the natural contours of the stone. Jigano loosened his scarf, shaking the snow off as he looked around at those who had joined him, gesturing to the choice they had to make. ”Which way should we go?”
This is a Loreseeker Guild PQ to explore part of the Fangs! Loreseekers get first dibs on spots. Although not lethal, there is potential for danger and harm in this quest. (This quest is NOT plot advancing.)
When given a choice of direction, everyone can vote on which way to go. Majority will decide whether to go left, right, or straight ahead.
This PQ will move on every 48 hours OR when everyone has posted.
