Amun had still been doggedly doing his part to explore Halo. Although he’d been reassured to the contrary, he still felt deficient in his service. Especially because, well, exploring was his shtick, and yet it had been given to someone else, he’d redoubled his efforts.
They’d done a decent job exploring the Tundra, apparently, but as far as he knew the actual city in Halo was as yet a mystery to the Ascended. So the potter had dropped off some meat that he’d acquired from definitely reputable sources (stolen) at the portal, before making his way down the long road.
After grinning and winking at the hostile guards, he’d sauntered through the gate, eyes darting this way and that, drinking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Citadel as he wandered its streets. Perhaps the last thing he expected to see here, however, was a Fae.
Eying her, the Ascended eventually shrugged and approached. ”Hello there, gorgeous. You’re a long way from home.” That wasn’t going to help with the stares she was attracting, but at least his voice came out as charmingly as he could manage, which was really fucking charming. He swept into a shallow bow. ”Amun Arlun, at your service.”
