DEIMOS
the resurrected sword
At the teasing, the beast ultimately realized the reasons why the water had twisted and turned, and an amused snort rumbled through his feline form. Quite a trick, and he dove down beneath again, catching the cautious, apprehensive look in the luxere’s eye – accustomed to it from all those gathered amongst that species – save for Auni. This time he meandered slowly along the whims of fins and scales, batting at a few while hind legs swam diligently, his predilection for swimming not lost; calmly stoking along the intervals of currents and ambling waves of the river’s edge, until snagging another one of the fish in his paws, lifting back up to the surface once more.

Head breaking through the glassy veneer, taking in a few deepening breaths, he surveyed the altered scene again, Loren closer to the edge. While he talked, Deimos lifted the fish out of the water, tossing it into the air between both forelegs, content in his feline torture. Amusement; which was the simple truth to the summoner’s inquiry – a chance to unwind, not in danger, not being asked to construct a building, a stall, or retrieve something monumental and throwing himself right back into trials and tribulations. The fish clearly wasn’t enjoying itself as much as Deimos was, and for a moment he let it sink back into the water, content to witness the arcs of Loren’s enchantments flip through the rivulet’s curves and bends, stunned when he could feel the same motions along his fur. He shook his cranium, the tips of his skull already dried – incapable of arching a brow in this form. Instead, he snagged at the fish again, catching it along his paw, and volleyed it towards Loren.
