Loren watched the arc of the latest goldfish as Deimos batted it out of the water. Grinning as it splashed back down, he let the amusement flood the bond between the two of them. "No they are traumatized for life." Then the corners of his eyes crinkled further. "Or at least however long goldfish memory lasts."
Clearing his throat, he raised a hand in the classic scene setting gesture. "Imagine this. You're a poor innocent goldfish, minding your business, when suddenly this monster claws you out of the water, leaving you gasping for breath and trembling with fear. Then, worst of all, it releases you to live in terror that at any moment it might return to do it again." He laughed outright at that description.
