Reading emotions was something Adam was very unhappy about indeed (and ironically, this unhappiness would be broadcast to Oliver and any other nearby Attuned); a lot of his persona relied on being able to put on a fake face, on maintaining a charismatic mask over his true thoughts and feelings. Ew. Isn't that really awkward? Feeling what everyone else is all the time? Can I turn it off?
