A bright cheerful grin is sent Sam’s way when he tells her that he doesn’t have many ways to fight. “You have your mind though.” She shrugs. And sure, while they’d all had their shortcomings (looking at you Sam who tried to touch a LongNight monster), for the most part Samuel had bright ideas. Much brighter for things than Rexanna had. “I think it’s only my Ascension that’s kept me alive, if I’m being honest.” She hums but smiles regardless.She doesn’t regret any of it, regardless how many people wanted her to.
The mention of the Luxere still coming to him causes her to snap her gaze to him in interest. “Oh? Really? I’ve never gotten one up close. Though I heard they don’t like dark magic, and I have fire magic.” A brief pout crosses her face. “That’s probably why, I think?” She tilts her head to see what Samuel has to say, whether he wishes to inform her more officially on the matter.
At his dorky laughter though, she can’t help the un-queenly giggle that slips from her lips. But she calms enough to explain the magic from Frey, gaze attentive on their surroundings as they near the Shrine and Sam asks her if she misses being just Abandoned. And she’s quiet for a time while she thinks about it, head tilting to the side enough that her dark hair falls over her shoulder in a dark curtain. “I miss parts of it. I miss the sun on my face. I miss… Not being double hated by the gods.” Another quiet chuckle at that as she looks to Sam once more. “Imagine being Abandoned by the gods already, and then going and Ascending.” A half smile crossing her face before it fades in a small shrug.
At least the Voice was kind to her far more than she thought she ever deserved.
