"Jigano implied I might have forced Nate into Ascending...that Bastien might have been the reason you did. Was he? I think Nate came to the decision entirely on his own, but...I worry I might have made him do it." He frowned, looking down to his feet. Since he'd heard Jigano say it, he'd been unable to push the idea away. "I don't think people understand that we can actually enjoy being Ascended. It...took me some years to get to this point, but I've found joy in it now."
