Zariah’s arrival was heralded by the sound of her heels, which are the most impractical and ridiculous shoes to wear, particularly in Halo. Weaver can’t help but wonder where this woman came from and how she plans to survive Halo in shoes like that. Possibly by never leaving the school and making everyone else do her dirty work for her. Literally. Weaver’s back is damn from the snow, which she had uncermoniously dumped from her pack out one of the many open windows. She smells of smoke and is covered in dust and dirt from the floor. This is not an entirely unusual state for Weaver, to look lived in, but there are vastly more important things to concern herself with.
She’s tempted to make some sassy comment when Zariah shows up, but instead she keeps her mouth shut and sets about on the last task. Everyone seems to disperse, so Weaver goes where others do not and begins setting about lighting fires. This is the only task her magic is particularly good for. Pulling the flint and stone from her pocket, Weaver chucks a few embers into each hearth. They catch into tiny flames easily, which she fans into life. She doesn’t need magic to get a fire going, though the extra help to turn the embers into a flame has always been useful. It would be more useful if she could just poof a fire into existence, but then again, that’s why she was here helping with this project after all.
The plan was to come back when it was a school and finally learn. For now though, her job done, Weaver slips out of the building and back into the icy tundra of her home.
