Movement and motions, all of them busy and maneuvering from one place to the other, the world never ceasing, never stopping, to give them a moment to breathe. He was content with the knowledge that Kiada was applying herself in other regions and motives though, nodding in consideration of hunting down mage glass. They’d done something similar down in the Fangs, a network of caves that hadn’t amounted to anything except rock falls and dead bodies. “Good luck. And be careful.” If he said it out loud time and time again, would it even matter? Those had been his final words to Amalia before she ventured off to the Sanctuary; and the balance had tipped heavily away from any of those insinuations. Hadn’t mattered; had dug deep into opposing lanes and routes.

Kiada might have been holding him together presently. A harpooning, entangled edge lanced over his bones, and a part of him felt like sinking, while everything else moved forward, onward, amongst familiar pathways, etching their lines in the soil, desperately trying to convey and commit. Her excitement pulsed in waves of warmth, and he tried to grip onto it as best he could; hadn’t ever spared a thought towards cakes. Sure as a notion of acceptance, the uncertainty and gravity beating like a drum in his head. Zuriel looked over, and he didn’t meet her speculative eyes. It’d been his fault for bringing it up anyway – rare pieces and pulses of the future, things to look forward to, if they could all somehow manage to mold everything else back together. The unicorn narrowed her gaze at him, but then lifted her head, returning to the search.

The subject alteration caused him a snippet of hesitation again, head swindling back down to stare at the top of hers – wondering just how far these dramatics would play out too. Because there was no way to know or understand how all of this would measure; Ru’in not-withstanding, a whole assemblage of inner workings and calamities, deceased moments continuing to spiral here and there. “Really,” was all he supplied, clearly waiting for her to proceed in the reflections, reserving judgment when he had naught else to go off of but a name.
