It was as good an opportunity as any to explore, and with this beast at her side it would draw attention to walk into crowds. Something she generally preferred to avoid.
Casting about for questions to ask, she tried to keep them simple, basic. "Are you a resident of Halo? Natural, Outlander? Do I know you?" The last question asked with a half laugh, eyes glittering; she was quite sure this was not Sunjata (he would have come back into himself at this point, if only to tease her about not realizing it) but she had to make sure. Maybe there was someone else among her acquaintances with hidden talents.
