I want to dance on the horizon line, but there is something I am caged behind
Once again, Remi is right. This is just something she has to learn to do on her own.
As Lily aims for the sand, she tries the gradual loops that he suggests, and is actually able to make a spiral or two before she ends up feet-first in the sand. Stumbling a little in the soft ground, she even manages to make her bird-self look surprised at the small success - that is, not landing in the ocean and not dying. That wasn’t… terrible was it? No, don’t answer that. Hopping to face the water, the nightingale knows that if she’s going to be able to do this on her own, she has to be able to fly without falling off things.
There’s a surge of determination in her (he might even be able to feel it) as she opens her wings again and prepares to ‘jump’ from the ground. Focusing on the horizon, she clears her mind, takes a couple of steps to start, and then leaps, flapping furiously.
