Facing Jigano was not the easiest thing. With their most recent discussion fresh in mind, the smile she managed to give him in greeting was tentative at best. This was not at all the time or place for a continuation of that, thank the gods, because in all honesty... Maea still wasn't sure what kind of reply she would be giving him.
It was quite the relief to focus on the lesson, the task at hand and the people that had gathered. Maea found that she knew all of them, and when it came time to pair up, she angled over towards Hotaru with a mischievous little smile.
"Looks like it's you and me, then? I was hoping to spar with you eventually," she said. Grinning, with her hands still hanging loose by the sides, Maea conjured up a handful of needles, forged from near translucent ice, and sent them flying towards the other woman's face.
