Thankfully, the flashbang was enough to get Amalia to move away a little. Of course, even with his eyes closed, Amun's own vision was a bit dazed (as was he) but that was less debilitating for an Ascended than it was for the baker.
He rolled out from under her as best he could. She was still slightly on top of him, so it was more of an awkward wiggle than anything else, especially because he couldn't quite see. That was also probably why her paw swatting at him sent him bowling over just when he was trying to rise.
Rolling again, though out of control this time, he crashed into a weapons rack. It fell on top of him with a clatter. Groping, still mostly blind, his hand closed over a practice weapon. Without really taking the time to aim, he chucked it at the direction he thought she was in. It turned out to be a wooden knife and it tumbled through the air without much grace or precision.
