Good Times

ALISTAIR "Perhaps..." Alistair muttered under his breath with as he softly grinned, his back to Rexanna as he surveyed the land stone grounds ahead, searching the path to ascend when the cries of a bird were heard. Quickly he turned, just in time to get taken down by a stream of frigid water. The momentum making his body roll onto his back. As he scrambled back to his feet, wiping his eyes clear, Alistair squinted toward Rexanna before glancing upward. "No idea..." Brazen, surely. As he looked back toward Rex he recognized a look of curiosity that was difficult to deny how contagious it was. "Only one way to found out I suppose." He would make his way over, taking Rex's hand as he eased her slowly behind him. He had hunted for years, birds of many species had fell by his arrows plenty of times...but this was a new world, new species. Not everything could be handled like it was in the old world. He thought to grab a stone, and hurl it at the beast the moment he saw it...but instead he grew curious. He began to whistle, mimicking the sound of birds of all variations in the hopes it would pick up one of the tunes. Had the bird connected to the call, and had approached the two, he would find Alistair with one hand up, exposing he wasn't there to harm with the hopes it would disarm the creatures territorial concerns.
