"Loreseekers." Josh snorted at this name, thinking it an oddly whimsical way to put what they did (he assumed information gathering), but still thinking they would be worth a visit. If anything else, he could see if they'd get in his way for his own investigations.
He had no intention of joining any organisations - he'd always been a lone wolf; other people were liabilities, especially if you began to care about them (always when the issues began). Not saying that to Maea though, he just nodded about the academy, thinking if Zariah didn't willingly speak to him, he'd just have to go through the rooms until he found what he needed.
Portals being something so casually mentioned, when he'd had to argue passionately for their existence back home...it was a bizarre kind of vindication, but one that he felt regardless, and he felt good letting her go. "Alright. Thank you for your time. Goodbye." It was always good to be polite as they left, so if you needed them later they might talk to you again.
