As much as he didn't really want to revisit it, it was a pretty perfect example of how he had recently messed up a personal interaction.

He'd not heard Loren speak of his brother much, but the two were twins like him and Evie, if he remembered correctly. Not that that meant closeness (it certainly hadn't with him and his sister) but it usually meant at least a more joint experience of childhood.
