Nodding slowly, he grinned weakly. "I was a sailor." Forcing himself to relax, he stretched his legs out again. As she mentioned she was afraid of the sea, he chuckled. "Well we can't have that." He reached out and clasped her shoulder.
"Tell you what. When I have my boat, I'll take you out on it and show you there's nothing to be afraid of." This time, his voice came out friendly and bright, even if his eyes sparkled with the faintest hint of mischief.
