Halo and Torchline practically beckon them with their newness, but there's so much even here, in the Hallowed Ground, that they've never been able to explore, never been allowed to explore due to being under the thumbs of their parents and their expectations.
All of that's different now. They're a LORESEEKER and they intend to seek! Even here, maybe especially here. Oh, the Underground itself is unfamiliar, but the Hallowed Ground is home, and that familiarity may still be hiding secrets. Quanil wants to find out.
They have their staff. They have their small pack of food, water, torches, and bandages. They have the knowledge gained from the provost's lecture. They venture beneath the fallen street, filled with excitement. What lurks here, beneath the ruined facade of civilization? What dangers, what ancient mysteries?! They stop to light their torch - it takes a bit; they really should have done this before descending - and then proceed.
Their ears perk up when they hear a voice up ahead. A companion to explore with?! they hope. They can't make out the words, but they move a little quicker. Being born and raised on Caido, they know that there is not always safety in numbers. Sometimes, there's no safety no matter what. But numbers give you better odds, anyway. Besides, they're meeting so many new people and it's not at all the way they'd worried it'd go, the way the other Naturals tend to eye them as stranger than even the Outlanders.
