His arms fold across his chest as his question is uttered, gaze following the way the man begins to pull out other ingredients, preparing them as well as some bowls – steel eyes watching as he flits around the room, almost already appearing like he’s home within the walls of the bar. “Noted.” He offers with a quiet chuckle to that, reaching up to run a hand through his hair. It stills, however, as soon as the question is aired.
Why did he hate Halo? Lots of reasons, but a few in particular stand out, and he sighs heavily – watching the youth briefly before his gaze slips to the pot and the way he seems to go through the motions of cutting the vegetables up with practice. “Too many people I knew died here.” He offers with a shrug – he doesn’t have to tell him who they were, he somehow doubts the boy would know who they were anyway.
“Secondly, I hate the cold. And snow.” There’s a small smirk that crosses his face to that, chin tilting up a small amount as the mask slips back into place.
