The way he worked was quiet and methodical. No banging of pots and pans, no flailing about, or taking unnecessary steps. While the kitchen itself wasn't his, it shared the same layout with most others within Halo, and Korbin knew his way around them. And there was a natural logic to the placement of most utensils within it, that didn't require a lot of searching to understand. It really didn't take long for him to be comfortable in his surroundings, and with the task at hand familiar enough, it left room for conversation.
Unfortunately.
"Do you really think death will stop coming if you avoid Halo?" he asked, sounding mildly amused. "It's part of life, no matter where you go. Stay long enough in any place and the tally will add up just the same." Inked feathers flexed and twisted with the movements of his wiry shoulders. Like the wings were straining to fly off the young man's back, and just couldn't seem to get enough lift.
"Letting simple things like cold and snow determine your judgement of a place... sounds pretty arrogant to me. Some might even say it's disrespectful. Not a very good look, if you're serious about doing business here." No matter what that business might be.
But hey, it was just opening a bar, wasn't it?
