Heave the silver hollow sliver
It'd been a long time since he set foot into the prisons. Initially it’d been rebellion against Zariah’s cause; his gaze immediately going to a specific cell, and then when her reign was done, it’d gone to only brief intervals of use. There hadn’t been any reasons to – most situations solved without the need for bars, for locks, for furtive keys – not since Roana’s pledge to murder members of the Ascended. Even if she’d somehow evaded the threshold – So he stepped within, staring at the vast expanse of dust, decay, and nothingness. It was a hollowed out vessel, with its warped bars and boarded up windows, courtesy of the last LongNight preparations, with rotted wood, with pinnacles of naught echoing and contorting. Meandering silence, thickening air, and he narrowed his eyes at it, eventually lighting several lanterns while he decided what to do first. He’d posted the notice sign for anyone interested in assisting; but he’d likely start with the aforementioned cell, lock it up, and leave the mystery of its threshold for another day.
The Sword grabbed hold of a broom, sweeping out the confines, eyes following where grime settled, pressing over cobwebs, gleaning out remnants of bird and bats that had made themselves at home likely through the changing seasons. When he thought that particular cell complete, he sealed it off, then returned to the entrance, surveying it as a whole, to glean upon what they had to get in order, in place, as people arrived.
