He settled in beside the cell with the warped bars, conducting fire magic instantly to his fingertips, to his palms, attempting to mold the metal portions back into place. They shifted with the molten heat, and several pounds of a hammer, working it much like a blacksmith would – eventually standing upright and tall, back to where they were supposed to be.Sunjata and Loren would find their combined compelling efforts highly successful. Maybe it was the powers within, embroiled and enveloping, that forced all the animals to flee. The rats scurried out through any open holes, made all the more obvious that they had more to patch up now, and the bats did the same, high-pitched squealing ricocheting on the way out. Deimos watched, brows raised, features rendered to some measure of impressed – before it faded, granting more directions after their triumphant dispelling. “If you want to remove their remnants too,” indicating nests, and scattered remains, a broom resting nearby.
Joshua’s haphazard patching of holes showed – most of the nails not finding purchase, the lumber falling off the sanction just as quickly as they’d been placed. It was sloppy work, and Deimos eventually marched over to place some concentration on the task at hand, not narrowing his eyes at the other man, but giving off an overall impression of irritation. “Try not to waste the nails,” and he snorted as another portion of the wood collided back down to the floor – biting back a sigh. He could always make more, but they should’ve been able to utilize the ones already conjured.
And while the rest worked, poor Weaver’s efforts were in vain. Cutting went well, but as she hammered a piece into place, perhaps through force, perhaps sheer, damned luck, or whatever misfortunes she’d rendered – the hammer flew out of her hands, landing in that particular, furthest, right-hand corner. Hm. What to do about that…
