It seemed the fisherman was smarter than Delta expected and almost immediately took notice of her, his voice carrying down into the ocean below. Hesitantly, she swam a few feet away and finally surface, her head popping up and staring straight at him.
While her father had warned her against being too talkative with humans, he also reassured her that she could still speak with people: just with an abundance of caution. Would she even give a name?
