The young girl clearly knows this area better, raised upon the windtorn cliffs and coastal grasses, the glow of the lighthouse to direct her at night. Evie is content to let her lead, to encourage the girl to do her own adventuring and to control this little endeavor. It makes her feel quite maternal, but in a sad, longing sort of way.
