Morgan had found it entirely possible to lead a life in Halo without depending on the Gods and didn't understand why more people didn't try it. A life not beholden to anyone was the best of all.

"If the Voice is not actively recruiting, then what is it that attracts people to her? Average people? Not yourself, who was brought into it through death."
