But he was distracted by the changing tone as Sunjata rejected the comparison to the Warden and his twin. "Oh really? You think you're any different from them?" It was more curious than taunting. Call it an offer for a benefit of doubt. So far this guy had been consistent in his story, if nothing else, and while Korbin remained suspicious about his motives for meddling in Halo, he hadn't done anything else to invoke ire.

I just... people always leave, alright? They die or they leave, and I see no reason to waste my time on people who won't stick around.
