At the last second, she grabs a lantern from the Kraai too, hoping to save her energy as much as she can by bringing the source of fire (and also light, since it is pitch black outside). ”Stay here!” she yells to the one other kitchen worker still at the bar with her, and then heads out the door.

Those looking for shelter she directs toward the Kraai where her kitchen boy could help them. She picks her way through the town, trying to get to Loren to see what she can do.
