If he paid more attention, he might have noticed the slight shadow that crossed over him from a distance. But he was too used to having Hels darken the path briefly to really find any sort of unusual activity about it. So instead, he focuses on the blade again, inspecting the edges for any nicks. The one used to justice was hardly used much in comparison to the other, but with it… Well, the other had nicks in the blade from getting used quite a bit.
The voice does capture him off guard a small amount, his head lifting while he keeps the daggers easily in hand, squinting against the light of the sun to spot where the voice had come from. Some kind of tone that came off commanding, and he spots a fae of all things. Bold, considering the amount of height the attuned had on her.
Unimpressed, he turns his focus back on the blades in his hands, clearing his throat briefly. “What do you want?” Comes the response, disinterested if she was going to be making demands.
