Snow Days

The way the lion cried out made the tigress immediately back off of him, her eyes widened and ear pulled back. That was very far from what she had expected from him, and she worried that he had landed wrong on his leg or something.       Or something, indeed…       He rolled onto his side, revealing a branch jutting out from his shoulder. Rhea lowered to the ground instantly, releasing a quiet groan. Gods, no, no, no… She had never meant to hurt him!
