The boy did struggle of couse. There was a lot of jerking away from touch, fighting the hands that sought to remove the glass, and a stream of cussing - garbled nonsense that was more often unintelligible than not. There was a hiss when the glass was pulled out. Then he was hoisted up on his feet and led away. How they got to the lodge was a mystery; Korbin didn't remember, only felt his throat burn again as if he had thrown up more. The sight of lights burning in unshuttered windows seemed somehow offensive to him. He tried to slam the breaks when they got to the door, to pull free from the grip on his arm.

"No. Ican't... Nu' gonna goin there." Sure, he had been trying to get indoors, but there were people here. Eyes that would watch, mouths to spew idiotic nonsense, warmth and comfort he didn't need... that he did not deserve.

The cold street and the dark alleys were better suited to the likes of him.
