RONIN
The sun had gone down over the Temple, and Ronin had watched it. It was his third LongNight, but the first time he had been outside when the darkness had come. He stood with the rest of the luxere herd in his shift, feeling safer with them somehow, at least until the stars all winked out. Then it was real, and no matter how long he stood with the rest, it didn’t change what he was there to do.
Lighting the way with his antlers, the luxere stag began to walk a perimeter around the outside of the Temple - he heard a commotion up ahead, but by the time he reached the Temple doors they had been shut tightly again. Snorting, Ronin glanced around and stamped a hoof. Here was as good a place as any to stand guard.
