He tries to explain, before falling silent to mull over his thoughts a bit. "He said that only mastered earth magic can create soil and plants aplenty, but it is restricted depending on what naturally grows there. And Halo doesn't have a whole lot of variety - shrubbery, lichen. I'm not sure how much it will help - but it's certainly worth a try." He added the last part in as a caveat, a sign that he too shared a shred of hope that magic might indeed be the answer. But he also couldn't help the way his brain was wired, to try and riddle problems out with practical means, with science, with things he can touch and feel and control.
