Sam sighed at the answer Arialla gave; it was all so deeply unfair. He had seen that the Gods could be cruel, petty, mislead, ridiculous. Why should they have agency over all else, the control that they did? They were no more deserving of it than he would be, had he come into the world a God. He didn't voice these thoughts for two reasons: firstly because Arialla was an Outlander and likely was missing some some context on Caido's specific Deities, but also because they felt blasphemous and dangerous to say out loud.
He knew that the Gods watched and listened.
