A small frown creased his features as she spoke of breaking her leg, the thought of Kia hurting in any way not something he enjoyed at all. A life of trauma, of disaster after disaster - the mere season that he had been here already had given him a glimpse of what life was like here in Caido, he could only imagine what those who had been here longer had gone through (and what the future might have in store for him).
"It sounds like an event worth seeing at least once," he said thoughtfully, reaching to sit his hand beside hers on the table, always near, though not overbearingly so."But I feel it would be prudent to ensure it was in a safe location beforehand." He added wth a smile tugging at the edge of his mouth for a second. "And I wouldn't want to go alone," he mentioned with a shrug, running the back of his fingers along her knuckles with idle affection.
"Fiat Lux... wait, isn't that the event you kissed your almost-aunt at?" His gaze focused sharply on her, a brow raised in playful enquiry, as he offered her another distraction, another semblance of normal conversation on an otherwise hard and difficult day.
