The bright sound of Phoebe's voice wafted over the man's shoulder. Immediately his face hardened into an impassive stare as he glared at the stones in front of him. Listening he heard that the crunch of the woman's approach had stopped, and if his guess was right, she was probably standing right behind him. Nostrils twitching with a slight snarl, the man turned slowly, feet making awkwardly tiny shuffles as he rotated in place. As he turned, he fixed the pretty healer with a flat and impassive stare, expecting her to flee once she got the full measure of him: the blocky mass that was his head, the short cropped hair because it didn't grow quite right, his mis-matched eyes that made many think he was blind, the extension scarring, the impressive jaw.
