Not welcome

The man's lip twitched in a feral sort of gesture as she mentioned his eyes. She was mocking him. Only his twin liked the way his eyes looked, she and perhaps one other. To everyone else it was simply another unnerving quality about him. But then she hadn't said she liked them, had she? No. She'd said they were unique. And unique was just another word for not normal. Just like the rest of him. His snarl increased slightly. Raising a brow as she asked what he was doing, the lumbering man merely grunted and looked over his shoulder. He was standing in front of a fucking house, was he not? Clearing snow, inspecting the stones? Again he looked back at her, impassivity writ on his large features. Inhaling as she asked his name, the man licked his teeth slightly from behind his lips, exhaling in a garbled sort of grunt. "Ru'in." He said at last with a voice that sounded low and might have been beautiful if not for the way the edges of the word were clipped and mangled as they came out of his mouth. Even so, the word was clear enough. Ru'in. Ruin. The thing that I am. ru'in There's a place I go to, where no one knows me It's not lonely, it's a necessary thing.
