Not welcome

Phoebe's shock was evident on her face. Need nothing? He needed nothing? That seemed a bit farfetched to her but...he did seem a capable sort. Big, strong, he obviously knew how to hunt and build structures out here on his own. He must make his clothes and other soft goods out of animal hides and such. She supposed she could rationalize how he might not need more...but did he not want more? She frowned a little at his abruptness. He wasn't lonely. He had no family or friends. But before she could ask more he slammed the door closed. It made her sad. She didn't really know him obviously, but she thought it really had to be a melancholy life to live without...anyone to care about or to care about you. Quickly, Phoebe looked through her little basket, pulling some winter mint out. It was a pretty basic herb that someone who lived in the wilderness would certainly know and have use for. Using some twine she had for bundling her herbs, Phoebe tied a small bundle of it to his door handle for him to find when he came back out. Even a little kindness could go a long way.
