{O}Braving the Cold in the name of Self-Improvement

Tray shivered against the cold and pulled his frock coat tighter against his body to try to trap heat. It was his favorite frock coat, dark green textured fabric on the outside with leather accents and shiny brass buttons down his lower chest and stomach but the real highlight were the Ningo feathers lining the interior, all placed with care so that the tips pointed down and each were layered evenly on the others. It was by far his warmest coat and yet here he was, still cold and trudging down the cold, lonely streets of Snowcloak. Tray was maybe throwing some of his hatred his coat's way but it was really Whit's fault that Tray was out in this mess in the first place, if Whit hadn't threatened to kick him out if Tray didn't either travel or attend Academy then Tray would be safely ensconced within his family's house probably a good book. A gust of wind blew directly into Tray's face bringing nearly a handful of snow with it, "Ya, a good book or a hot bath," Tray wiped a gloved, yet chilled hand across his face, "ya a really hot bath for sure"

With the threat of being homeless looming in his future Tray was here on the streets of Snowcloak headed in the direction of the Academy looking to enroll. Tray heard, or maybe he read it somewhere that he'd have to use his abilities to even be considered, maybe that was why he'd put off attending for so long. Regardless, it was fucking cold and he'd handle whatever came when he got there, Tray stuffed his arms beneath his armpits as he leaned into the intermittent wind and fought to maintain his footing on the icy patches. "Ice is a fucking joke"
