Leaning down, Wessex tries to solidify her grip with a forearm across his shoulders, leaving one arm and hand free to wield the knife she’s hopefully already pulled from him.
“You don’t ever fucking learn.” Attempting to move the blade closer to his head, the Wraith’s voice gets ominously quiet. “You’re a danger to the rest of us, Sam. And I have a duty to protect the family.”
