"You think I was born yesterday, huh?" Nate huffs, more amused by the show than anything else, and glad that the full glory of his skeptic expression is available for the other man to see. Not that he's going to believe anything said by Zeph anyway, but the fact that they might be even comes as a bit of a surprise, and irritation. Still, that's a problem for another time.
For now, Nate follows, obedient as can be, even when they stop at a stall that doesn't seem to have a single thing to do with the diamond he's looking for. It's a game he at least has the sense to play along with, offering the woman running the stall a bright grin in return, and stepping forward.
"I'm looking for a diamond, though I don't think there's a stone you could show me more dazzling than you." With a glance thrown towards Zeph, Nate leans in, letting his volume drop just a touch. "I'm getting married, you know." He's hoping the words might help his chances, though he knows there's just as good a chance of them being used against him.
