There was nowhere to go, not from a storm that seemed to circle the entire world. So it was that Eloise's efforts as the ship's navigator meant very little right now.
"Help me with this right the fuck now." Eloise barked at a burly man who was worried about securing down a long bunch of bananas. If the sails weren't lowered the Ark could tip, the masts could snap, or worse, they could continue right on into the worst bits of the storm. Despite her time at sea the illusionist's hands weren't rough or worn by rope yet. So as she reached up to begin untying the knots, already she could feel the wet grind of the thick chords threatening blisters against her palms.
"Right now!" Eloise thundered, pointing adamantly towards the remainder of the rigging that needed tending to.
Eloise enlists the help of the crew to drop the sails.
