Saiden cursed under his breath as he realized that his attempts to secure the ship weren't going particularly well. However, at Jack's call, the cook glanced up. Cursing even louder as he saw the wave, he double checked that the rope he'd tied to the railing earlier was still secure.
That hopefully done, he reached out with both hands and gripped the railing tightly. Only then did he reach out with his magic. Pouring as much energy into it as he could, the Hali attempted to part the wave around the ship, or, failing that, at least blunt its impact somewhat.
