She's just finished watering the newly planted life when Oliver begins to speak again. Amalia turns to face him, a smile rising easily to her mouth. But as he goes on the smile falters, replaced by a puzzled quirk of her brows, and then her mouth opens in a small, surprised 'o' as color abruptly floods her cheeks.
"Um, I... I'm flattered, but I..." Haltingly the Shield attempts to muster her words into coherent sentences. "I'm married, Oliver, and even if I wasn't you're sweet but I'm not... not interested in anything like that." Now brightly flushed indeed, the girl rises to her feet, her hand rubbing awkwardly upon her wrist. "I'm sorry. I should... I should probably go. I'll see you around, okay?"
